ONE YEAR ON

 It has been nearly a year since the last post on this blog. No games have occurred (see my Ramblings of an Eccentric Game 2 for what's been going on), but I have added a few more units and today I received the new ACW plastic Cavalry & Zouaves boxes. There will be further rules testing in January with hope of a starter campaign in late Spring. For now, a little eye candy. 

I Love Technology...Sometimes

What a crazy couple of months. First my phone gets an update that knocks out my camera. No problem, I will just follow the on-line information on how to correct this…Nope. I guess I will take it to my provider to have them fix it…Nope. OK, I will wait until there is enough reports that the on-line service adds a fix…and wait…and wait…and wait. OK, back to the provider because they have human beings with which I can talk. Answer is a factory reset. After only two months problem fixed with the only inconvenience being redoing all my phone data. Next up I have the blog working. No…wait…yes…no…Oh, come on. Like the phone it only takes me two months to resolve the issue. I have been doing a lot, so look for a few updates over year end and the coming months.

June Painting Update and Playtesting

 

The Painted Red Jackets

I have gotten most of the Red Jacket Army painted and am about halfway done with the Green Coats. The tactical rules have gotten some playtesting in having completed two games with Bob. I think they are about right so now am working on tweaking the number of Battle Cards in a game. I am feeling confident enough to open these up to the whole group. We are playing Friday afternoons and early evenings.

So far only Kevin has gotten back to me with a name for his nation and all the flag information. I still need flag information from most of you and names from everyone. I have not heard a thing on how the painting progress is going for anyone except Bob, who besides the missing cavalry will all need has his army ready.
